The Garden Club of Jacksonville, Inc. is a non-profit, scientific and educational association organized to promote the study and conservation of our environment, particularly horticulture and related fields, and floral design.

Founded in 1922 by Ninah May Holden Cummer (Mrs. Arthur G. Cummer) in historic Riverside, the club’s main meeting place is located at the corner of Riverside Avenue and Post Street.  The easily recognizable columned building overlooks the St. Johns River.  It is centrally located and provides private parking (See History & Map).

The large Ballroom and smaller Club Room are the locations for many gatherings and special events.  They also provide meeting places for member groups and various associated societies. The Club is dedicated to sharing what we know, grow and show.  Many meetings, programs and activities are open to the public. (See Programs & Events) Some of the 2009 - 2010 Calendar of programs are now posted on the the programs page so check it out!

The facility is available for rent for business and social events.  (See Rental Information)  Various fundraising activities to underwrite projects and maintenance of property are also centered here. (See Projects & Services)

Amateur gardeners’ memberships are welcomed.  (See Membership Information).
